how to put my leafs on top of the rear axle
how do i make my truck a leaf over axle i've looked all over the place and i can't find any good info on the subject. PLEASE HELP ME! i'm in desperate need of help none of my friends know how to do this
you know you will have one big rake if you do an axle flip, even with the torsion bars cranked the whole way your rear will sit a lot higher than than the front. I would say if you are trying to just do it get some new u-joints and make your brake lines a little longer thats all that really needs to be done. and ride smoother? I wouldn't say that with the sway bars, with the front one off, its scary on the highway
If its just a offroad truck you don't even need to get a longer brake hose. I just made a bracket to extend it up. Looks horrible but will work. As was said just cut the u bolts off and relocate the axle. You may need to round off the head of the bolts on the spring pins so the axle hole on the perch will slide over it
well found out one of my stock shocks is already busted. yes back in 88 on certain submodels they had bilstien shocks on the truck. but im also looking for a way to lift the front "junkyard" style. and i have drove over 80 on the highway with no front sway bar and it handled fine btw this is my DD. thanks for all the advice guys
