Default looking at a detroit truetrack or eaton posi

So the project bug has hit me again and I'm looking to add either a truetrack or posi mainly for offroad use and better traction in the rain and such since I'm always slipping when pulling onto a wet highway I can get both for around the same price the truetrack is a little cheaper I know I need to LSD additive for the posi but just want to know whats the best in anyones opinion sorta partial to the truetrack since I heard it takes less to lock up

So long as you are not going too tall on the tires, I would go with the TrueTrac. The torsen differentials do not wear out, but if you go big with the tires, you can break them. But the same is true with a posi as well. The largest drawback to the helical gear differentials is that they do not provide 100% lockup like a locker would. Neither does a positrac unit either so that really is a wash.

You should be able to find some reviews online for both the units you are looking at.

I know neither is truly a real locker like an arb or ox locker but I'm not looking run a full spooled setup just want a little more of an edge. I'm running 30x9.5x15 right now and don't intend on lifting it so thats about as big as I'm going, I've seen reviews online but figured I'd ask for a little more personal experience

I have a lock right locker in my ride cast about half of what those true track and eaton posi.... Go with the lock right.... You'll get that edge you want and sliding around dirt road corners with complete confidence. Its not loud, installs in less than 30 minutes. I'm sure you could really get that two door sideways since the wheel base is shorter than my 4 door. Just saying money and time are valuable things... Trust me locker kills posi. Mine is a daily driver also.
