Does anyone know if the only way to get to the vacuum switch on a 1997 LT (3 switch - 2HI, 4HI, 4LO) is to drop the front prop shaft?
I see no other path to get to it. I can't really even reach the vacuum lines to pull them off.
It about 10 degrees out and maybe I'm noy having a whole lot of patience in my attempts, but if I need to pull the prop shaft, I'd just as soon get on with that.
I have vacuum at the actuator all of the time and see no other routing that would connect it up.
I'm pretty confident that is has also destoryed the sleeve in teh front axle as it does not move at all, but I have to fix the vacuum problem first.

I just used a 7/8 wrench climbed underthere and it spun out. Nothing else is really in your way. You could take the drive shaft out if you want to get more room but not nessacary.
