Hmmm, my blazer suggests 32front and 28rear on the door tag. I have 44max in my new skinss, have yet to drive them though

Yeah--Siping is B.S. in my opinion. Discount Tire makes a quick $50 or more with each set of tires it does and it's all profit. All they need to do is put the tires in a siping machine, I presume. So it's the best of all worlds for them: they boost their profits on the front end and also their profit at the back end because the tires wear out sooner. A scam, IMO. I'm sure a lot of other tire companies do it as well and, as they say, there's a sucker born every minute.

Gettin' a lot of Miller Moths over where you are? Just put in a whole bunch of new window screens to keep the suckers out at night.

 

Mine's a '96 Blazer S-10. Door tag says 35 for all tires. Like I said above, though, I wouldn't be surprised if the entire problem I had with wear in the middle of the tires was caused by the siping. May have had nothing at all to do with running them at 35. And, as a matter of fact, I may very well bring the pressure back up a little to 32 or 33 because steering seems labored where I have them now at 30. They're pretty wide tires (30 x 9.50 x 15); a lot of friction/drag.
