The funny part is that most of what looks like rust is actually just allot of dust from sitting inside a body shop for a while!

Our government is just a wasting machine!! Their contracts state that the vehicles cannot be put into service if %100 of inspections aren't perfect and rather than just correct the issue they just scrap them! It's really pathetic actually.

I did install the new spider that I picked up and its running great once again! Now all I have to do is figure out why it will only start with a jump. It'd be really sad but not all that surprising if my optima is dead. I'm thinking it's just a bad/corroded connection since I have lights and all but nothing to the starter when I turn the key. I just need to find some time to trace that down.

I also decided that I am going to be keeping and running the new axle I just bought because I sold me current axle to my buddy today. He wanted a 14b and I needed to sell one so it worked out well. With the 5.3 I won't need 5.13 gears so the 4.10 of the new axle should work perfect. It worked out for both of us so neither of us had to do any gear changes. I gave him a killer deal for $200 so all a brand new end to end 14b is costing me is $50 plus a new set off spring perches! That's a good deal to me. I could have asked for allot more for my axle considering what I just put into it with this build but owell he's a good friend and I'll get some labor out of him lol!
And this showed up today as well

Not much to update sadly My battery drained down to like 4 volts from sitting for so long so I am working on hopefully bringing that back to life. Optima says it will be fine once its got a good charge again so I sure hope so! My new pistons should be arriving any day and I will hopefully be ordering my cam next week or the week after. I have settled on a Brian Tooley Racing stage 3 truck cam and springs. It will give me good power, sound nice and I can run it with my stock push rods so it will save me a bit of coin as well. I will also be using their trunion upgrade as they have the best reviews and strongest c-clips to keep things held together. Hopefully some real progress will be made soon lol!

I haven't even hardly looked at the blazer lately but I did pick up a new ride today! It's an 01' with only 71k on it. For the year it's incredibly clean inside and out with no stains tears or rips. Full power everywhere including dual power and heated seats up front. I hate the rims but it has good tires and the rims are an easy fix. It's even got the tow/haul mode! 5.3 with the Auto Trac 4 button transfer case. The GMC logo is missing off the grill and the front bumper had a small ding and needs to be aligned better but that's minor as far as I'm concerned. It was in an accident that caused the grill and bumper issues but it was only cosmetic so I don't much care. I gave $7k cash out the door with a 6 month bumper to bumper unlimited mileage warranty. And here's the pics...

These are the dealer pics but I'll get some more soon and post them up!

Well it's warm out and I want my Blazer moving so it's timed to get it back to work where I have time to make it run! My buddy rented the trailer to haul his Jeep so I stole it for the night

That poor little U-Haul! It looks so tiny. Or maybe it's your Blazer that looks monstrous.
