Default Rattle on Right side of Blazer when going over bumps!!

Hello all, My 2000 blazer is making a rattling sound from the right side of car when going over bumps. Any idea what might be loose or the problem?? I checked the exhaust pipes, looks good there. Sound like a piece of metal flapping around. SHould be easy to spot, but I see nothing out of the ordinary.

Front or rear of vehicle?

2-door or 4-door?

4wd, 2wd?
Could be a door bushing, heat shield for the exhaust, cat rattling etc etc.
We need more info other than a rattle somewhere.
If it's a duller sound & sounds like it's coming from under the dash I'd take a small rag, fold it over a few times & put it between the hood & weather seal by the hinge on the side it seems to be coming from. If the sound goes away you need to get new conical washers for the hood & replace them.

I'd be interested in the response as I have a similar issue on my 97: right side rear.
Kind of a musical:ting ta ting. Already checked (by hand) the stabalizer and shocks. I know I wlll not be able to replicate the noise in my driveway, but all the bushings look servicable and have no noticable play. It does not seem to be a rear bearing issue as it is consistant with suspension action....and no:the exhaust is not contacting any thing and is solid!
Let us know! Thanks in advance!

Its a 4 dr. 4x4 and it sounds like from the rear. My guess would be some where from the exhaust. I have the stock pipes on there now. You think it might be the cat? Humm. I read somewhere when they go bad they make a rattling sound. Still looking under the car, found nothing yesterday, will look again.

Punch the cat from underneath & listen.
Have a friend hit the tail pipe while you're under it (wear safety glasses) & see it the exhaust hits something, like the rear axle or a hangers' rubber bushing is worn away.

The rattle is gone all of a sudden. No worries now.

Sounds like the cat is getting plugged up & deteriorating. Any codes & not just the CEL but have it scanned to see if there are any impending codes.
