so... the russell parts work perfectly. but i've never done a clutch before and it dosnt want to release all the way. and i wanted to know this: i took the flywheel off of a 89 ct1500 with a 4.3 in it. according to the hollander system on my computer at work it's supposed to be the same, there was a spacer behind the flywheel.( like 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch) i used it on my blazer. and now i'm wondering if that is why my clutch will not release all of the way???? or do i just have to wear it down a little???

If anything, I would think a spacer would cause the clutch to not fully engage.
These clutches are a pain to get all of the air out. I bet there is air in there that is preventing the clutch from fully disengaging.

i've run into a little problem. i called a dealership today about flashing my engine computer to get rid off all the dtc's for the automatic tranny. the guy said i needed the wiring harness from a 5speed. i know theres a way to get around this... but i need a clear large image of the pcm wiring. so i can disconnect all of the unnessessary wiring.

i have almost everything squared away with my blazer, she drives good, except for one problem.. i've called a few garages and dealerships about reprograming my ECM but everyone seems to be uneducated in the matter or says they cant do it, or it might not work. i dont want to spend the money for nothing. does anybody know for sure where i could get this done? and if i'll need a VIN number from a 5speed blazer? again.. i work at a boneyard and my computer gives ,e the same part number for auto and manual.
