Replaced intake manifold gaskets on 1998 s10 blazer, now having a real tough time getting the distributor back in(4.3l) , set tdc for #1 cyl and lined up marks on dist shaft but always seems to a tooth off from pointing at the dist casting mark(#6). Any help is great.

did you turn the oil pump shaft in the bottom of the hole? that may be keeping you from being able to get it in the proper place
