Curse the blazer!!

Believe it or not, that was the second quote I got, the first one was for more than double that. The quote was like 3 pages long listing everything they were going to do. Most body shops in my town are all insurance based and don't do much out of pocket body work. I don't really know what a good price for repainting the lowers would be

I haven't had too many problems with my '98, although it's my first vehicle so I can't say whether or not it breaks more often than others.
The 4WD (3 button) occasionally refuses to go into 4LO but does 4HI just fine.
The front differential sometimes doesnt disengage when going into 2HI and right when you notice you're driving with the front diff locked it POPS and disengages.
235/75R15 are really too small for a 4x4.
The plastic inside rattles and some pieces are loose and won't go back into place.
Black everything makes summer driving unbearable.
The gas mileage could be a bit better.
Not much space left in the rear after the subwoofers were put in.
Calipers freezing seems to be a common occurence (replaced 3 so far, every time it ate up the pads and did a number on the rotors).
That #3 plug =P
The sunroof motor jumped the track and tried to move the glass at an angle. Whole sunroof assembly has to be replaced, got the glass as close as I could to being sealed and caulked the edges.
My driver side door panel is barely hanging on (probably not a common thing, pretty sure the previous owner didn't know how to take it off correctly).
When the fan speed control is on OFF, air still comes out when moving. In the summer this air is hot and cooks your feet.
That's about all. I've had it 3yrs now.

Neko's been pretty good to me. I mean, there's no air conditioning, 4 wheel drive won't engage and I have to fix the front end. The spare, the dash, the door, the rear window, and pretty much everything else rattles. And the tape player clicks for anywhere from 2 seconds to one minute before playing my tape. But I love her!

2) no they're not. maybe you just need to try harder when leaving the road.
3) i'd be checking your flex lines. there's no way you could be getting that many rotors. how are your sliders as well?
4) oh it common! both on the part of bad previous owner(s), and on the quality of the clips.
5) you must have the Auto Climate Control system as well. leave your system on the "vents only" setting. you'll only get what ever the outside air temp is blowing @ you. could also close those vents if you don't like the air blowing still.

1. I should, but moneys tight right now. It doesnt do it often and I've learned to tell when it doesnt disengage so i can stop before it pops.
2. I know they do well, but the difference going to 30x9.50 was pretty significant for me.
3. I've only replaced the front rotors once. It didnt completely fubar the rotors, but you could tell they were worn down a lot more from it sticking.
5. Yes I do have the auto climate control. I keep it on vents only like you said but the air still seems a bit warmer than outside air, and I cant really close feet vents while driving. It'd just be simpler if the air didnt come out at all lol.
