This is a first also. Always something new going wrong, sure will be glad to retire from this job in not too distant future.
My 47,000 mile Blazer 4WD still in shop. Broke Axle on front right side. Supposed fixed picked up and drove it around it is still humming like an airplane and doing the same as before. So tear it apart and go again. Sure would like to be using this on my route making money but instead I keep spending and it is costing me. Had to go back to using my 160,000 mile spare to work with. It does the job while my low mile "Queen" sets.
I'm glad I took rest of my leave I will not go back to work till next year. So might then my Queen Blazer will be fixed?

I replaced my A & B shift solenoids, & my 3-2 solenoid (P1886). Found debris in the pan. It went forward & reverse when parked to replace the solenoids. Once reassembled, I took it for a spin around the block & it ran good. Went through the gears. Now reverse is slipping and will not full engage. Maybe reverse was lying in the bottom of the pan. Once I replaced the fluid, it gave up. YUK!!! I overhauled the engine & it is working great. I guess the transmission is next.

OK not a Blazer fix but I am still pleased with myself.
I fixed my 20 y.o. 3500 Watt Honda generator that refused to start. I saw that I had spark and I knew the fuel was flowing out of the tank but it would only start and run a second or two if I used starter fluid.
In the process of puzzling it all out I learned all about fuel shut-off solenoids and how they can get gummed up and stuck. Then I learned that you can install the choke control pin in the wrong direction so that the choke doesn't close.
But after addressing those issues, it runs like a champ. I was even able to start it this morning using the pull-start after it got down to about 10' F last night.

Got nothing done on mine today except develop a new issue lol. Started up the jimmy to warm it up- and the blower motor won't come on! Didn't have a chance to look into it, but I'm hoping just a fuse or something simple.

Had plans to pop a new stereo in , vacuum test , new headlamp bulb. Buuut, got sidetracked when I managed to strip out a bolt hole on the thermostat housing on my DD G6.... :\ My G6 is such an attention hog..The minute I go to work on a different car , she screams the loudest..

Discovered a plethora of leaky vacuum lines , one vacuum line disconnected from the vacuum canister, one broken antenna wire while trying to install a stereo that doesn't work anyways, and 3 broken light connectors , one being for the drivers side headlight. Also found that the front trim between upper and lower grill is busted off the drivers side.
Well I guess I just found more stuff that needs to be done. Maybe at some point I can start getting stuff done.

Well , I found the source of the vacuum issue. The vacuum supply line is just dangling there not connected to anything. Someone plugged off the PCV valve elbow as well.
Didn't dig any further since I had to come in and cook the Christmas beast..
Who knows what I will , or won't find when I pull off the air cleaner assembly. Almost skeered to look.

Sounds like your luck has turned around on it since the other day - progress!
Didn't find a blown fuse for the blower motor on the jimmy, but I decided to take it for a spin around the block because it had been sitting for a week or so... in the process I heard sporadic relay noise coming from the glove box, so I popped it open and pushed on the 3 relays in there. And, boom! Blower motor came on. Hasn't cut back out yet, but I'll throw a known good relay in there just to be safe. always gotta love an easy fix.

That's awesome news! Easy is a good thing...
At least I now have a direction to go in...New engine , new vacuum lines , new stereo and new light connectors...Then I can throw money towards the cosmetic details.

How'd that thermostat housing turn out for you on the g6, anyway? Were you able to re tap it, or did you have to replace anything?
