MORE GEAR FTW! Correct suspension and a good set of slicks dont hurt either. But yeah, it can be done.
325 at the rear wheel translates to about 375 on the flywheel, pretty stout.

stock weight of a silverado. Your dart weighs 1100 to 2500 less than a full size silverado (depending on trim/model) Not to mention your dart says its making 468whp..

well that was in 1996 i have no proof of the times and no pics of the truck to download it was shortbed regular cab all kinds of goodies aluminum wheels no front or rear bumper and it had a much lighter z glass hood i ran the truck at muncie speedway in indiana and that was my mph 119 time 12.87 sec the rear wheel horse power was a estimated by hawkins speed shop not dyno proven so it could have been more but i have nothing to show to prove it so i will drop it but my chevy truck was very quick it wasnt any chore to blow a iroc or a mustang away with no problems it was a good truck and i wish i still had it was sold to make room for a vehicle with a seat for my wife and new born child

Default Which is better?

What is the more dependable option in terms of reliability, serviceability, and just in general? The 4.3 Liter CPI or small block V8? The custom vehicle I dream of building when I get the money is a 1993 or 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer 4x4 2-door. I definitely plan on doing this in the future, and I am in the process of doing research on which motor is better. Exactly how much horsepower is the 4.3 Liter capable of producing while at the same time still being street legal?

Also, random question. When doing a V8 swap, is the location of the air-conditioner compressor different on a V8 than it is on a V6? Would the compressor and hoses have to be relocated/rerouted?

you'll be more worried about driveability. a friend of mine built the V6 in his 85 C10, which had some decent power, although the gas mileage was terrible.

if you want more out of a V6 i'd say a supercharger or turbo is the way to go.
