Yep, ZED still makes some of the BEST built amps. As a matter of fact SSA has some group buys going on with some old school ZED built goodness for sale at some pretty incredible prices.

Every once in a while my brother goes out of town pawn shoppin, he finds some killer deals on the old school Zed made amplifiers. I can't remember any of the ones he's had in the past, but, the people at the pawn shop don't know what they're doing, so, they see a name they don't recognize so they sell it for stupid cheap prices.

So Phoenix Gold is an off brand now what are you 10? Where have you been PG was and is one of the best audio companies out there. They did have some sub par stuff (ryval) but you can blame that on Rodin audio that bought them out and only cared about home audio, Now that the car audio PG is owned by AAMP they are going back to their greatness. the RSD6.5cs can't be beat for the price for the amazing output they have they compare to speakers 4 times their value. The old school amps are bullet proof, and the new lines they are coming out with as we speak will blow you away at the price for what they offer. I have 20 "off" brand pg amps multiple sets of pg speakers and processors in my possession right now and would buy more of the new stuff in a heartbeat if I needed more amps or speakers. Would love to spend $6000 on the one and have 11000 watts RMS in 1 amp or buy 2 and strap them for 22000 RMS If you don't know what you're talking about don't talk about it. For you to say that you obviously have not heard the speakers.

I have the PG RSD's in my Jimmy running off the HU and I honestly have to say I can't wait to hear what they can do with deadened doors, mdf baffles and 125wrms each channel to run on.... they do quite amazing just running off the HU... NO ONE can really know how well ANY speaker will perform without it being given a proper chance... A cheap, poorly designed and built speaker can sound fantastic with proper installation and the most expensive speakers you care to buy can sound like absolute crap when not properly installed... If it's not done right, you'll never really know and if you know what a proper installation is and didn't use them in that installation then you have no grounds to complain as xmradioguy has pointed out... PG used to be and is becoming once again one of the most respected names in audio... Ask any old school equipment hoarder and they can tell you what PG used to be...

Damn, what a rant.... lol

Back in the 90's when I was a PG dealer, I sold a friend a set of limited edition amps, a PG Outlaw and a PG bandit . He still has them in his van and they are jamminnnnn. That was good stuff in their day. I hope their return will be a strong one.

They are good amps but with most things that old they need maintenance to stay operating properly the caps should be replaced in both those amps after 10 or so years they are known to start leaking and catch fire once that happens the board is likely wrecked and the amp is useless except for parts. Even if they look good they still should be replaced,it's not really that hard to do I know of at least 3 guys in the states that will do it one of them is a former PG repair tech.
PM if you want part #'s for the replacement caps from digikey that everyone uses.
