what have you gotten done on your blazer today?
^^^ That's the sweetest set up I've seen so far. I'm REALLY, really liking it. I like that it's under cover and you don't have that big rugged bumper on the front. If your not puttin er in the mud daily, you kind of don't need it. That's exactly what I want. Occasional off road security, there for a jam in the snowy hills of Pennsylvania.
Did I mention I really like it? lol...lol....

Well I got the winch all wired up today and finally got to push buttons and hear it spin for the first time since blowing it apart and rebuilding it, that was a relief! Made all new cables between the solenoid and winch and battery for it too; the hydraulic crimper I bought off eBay is already paying for itself lol, makes some beautiful and STRONG terminal connections. Just when I was going to hook the battery back up, one of the bolts in my top post terminal snapped as I tried to snug it down (using a yellow top Optima with side and top posts; super handy for auxiliary electrical stuff ), so I had to pick up some new terminals from the parts store this afternoon... Was getting dark by the time I got home so I called it a night. Tomorrow I'll slap them on and finally wind the cable onto it, and she'll be good to go! Got to wire in my wireless control box too
Today i changed the rear passenger bearing and seal. The seal broke down and was spilling gear oil this week. Wanted to change the driver side as well, since I was in there... but i couldn't get the damn rotor off. Beat the hell out of that thing too, no dice. LOL
Gasket is setting up tonight, i'll fill the diff tomorrow and test it out.

Well after a week long project, I finally got this darn winch done!
I absolutely LOVE how flush this thing sits, especially with the brush guard mounted on too. It doesn't stick out any further than the brush guard.
I mounted the controller port in the grill, came out nice and hidden Pretty recessed in so it's really out of the way, but still fairly easy to access.
Mounted it to some plastic that I cut out of the old wind deflector thingy that had to be removed to fit the winch.
And if I don't feel like fiddling with the wired controller, I also wired in a wireless remote box Only thing I don't really like about the wireless controllers is the delay between hitting the button and the winch actually moving, and releasing the button and the winch stopping... But it might be easier than rolling out the cord in some situations.
Only thing left to do is install some sort of shield between the winch and oil filter still, I have an idea for that. And reinstall the skid plate. Oh, and go out and test it! I ran it long enough to spool the cable up on it but that's all for now.
