lmao I need to clean my garage so bad... there's crap thrown all over my work bench area. I have way too many projects going on at once...
but yeah the whole situation sucks... I'm just glad it didn't catch anything on the truck on fire... could have easily melted or set fire to the harness in the radiator support, set the grill on fire, spread from there, yeah it could have turned out much worse than a melted down solenoid

In between working on the G6 and my Wife's Mountaineer, I managed to eek out time to replace the drivers side headlight socket today on the Blazer. so now both headlights work..
Small victory, but just trying to get the little stuff out of the way while saving for that engine replacement..
Will be swapping an alternator in the Mountaineer this coming weekend, but after that will attempt to attack some vacuum lines on the Blazer..

Dug into the the Body Relay Block to check on how it is wired for tapping into an unused terminal for use as an extra supply of Retained Accessory Power.
I created a new thread to report on what I learned on how to get at the BRB. https://blazerforum.com/forum/lighti...59/#post684861

Rear passenger caliper kept seizing, the pad had released from the bracket, rotor was absolute toast... so, the weekend called for new rotors, calipers,, and pads on the rear. Did both sides for uniform stopping.

Replaced the alternator on my Wife's Mountaineer...By this time I couldn't feel my hands or my feet..Too dang cold for GA..Good Lord..Needless to say replaced the busted off high beam socket on the drivers side of the Blazer and came indoors...Vacuum lines can wait a week or until it warms up..
Also discovered the Blazer needs to see a Urologist soon, it's peeing oil all over the driveway....Will be swapping engines soon anyways...

Had to put in a new radiator, luckily still under warranty so no cost for that. Soldered terminal back on rear window for defogger, will check it out tomorrow. More small things to do as weather permits, but a good start so far.
